BDO Reward engage AI technology to combat non-inclusive workplace behaviours

BDO Reward has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Israeli based Cassiopeia an artificial intelligence (AI) technology company that provides businesses with the insights they need to foster a healthier and more inclusive workplace. Under the terms of the agreement, BDO Reward has the rights to market and sell the AI technology to clients in Australia.

“Our engagement of AI technology to combat non-inclusive workplace behaviours is a significant advancement on our reward proposition to help businesses better retain and motivate their performing employees and extract a greater return on remuneration spend,” BDO Reward Australia Managing Director, Allan Feinberg said.

Providing lead indicators for non-inclusive behaviours like micro-aggression, sexual harassment, bullying, and discrimination, Cassiopeia identifies patterns and risks of offensive behaviours before they escalate, enabling human resource advisors and senior managers to understand which teams are at risk and what they should do about it.

‘Forbes 30 under 30’ finalist and Cassiopeia founder, Shiran Yaroslavesky, says that by empowering businesses with data-driven predictive tools that measure offensive behaviours, business leaders can shape an inclusive, robust and thriving company culture.

“Detecting the teams that need your help the most can be difficult – around 85 per cent of offensive behaviours go unreported, costing the average mid-sized company more than $2.25m every year. We are excited to have the opportunity to transform workplaces in Australia with our new technology partner, BDO Reward,” commented Yaroslavesky.

Employees leave businesses because of a putrid work environment which includes bullying, harassment and discrimination. If a company has the ability to predict these behaviours in the workplace then they are able to put in place a set of integrated solutions like training, advisors and feedback processes to manage those risks, thereby reducing the cost of attrition.

“By building a mentally healthy workplace that is positive and productive, archaic barometers like whistleblowing policies become redundant, because you have already got the technology platform in place to protect your workforce culture before the unwanted behaviours have occurred. Ultimately, business love it because we help them to keep their people safe and minimise legal and reputational risk,” concluded Feinberg.

BDO Reward is offering complementary AI demos for its customers in Australia from December.
